I adore Nigella Lawson. I remember settling down in an armchair with a cup of tea to first read How to Eat, her debut cookbook and being instantly memorised by her prose, the familiarity of her voice and the utter comfort of her recipes. She remains a food hero to this day and is proof if you ever needed it that you needn’t be a fancy trained chef to be able to create delicious food that everyone can enjoy.
So you can imagine how thrilled I was to see that Nigella has featured The Saffron Tales: Recipes From the Persian Kitchen on her blog and written some very kind words about the book and the recipes
“This is so much more than a compilation of recipes, gorgeous though they themselves are. This is a book that tells a story, both cultural and personal, and her voice is as engaging as her food“
